You will be on the way with like-minded people.
Here is some information about therapeutic fasting according to Buchinger:
Dr. Otto Buchinger did not invent fasting; he experienced it. He was ill and nothing else helped him except fasting. During the First World War, he was a military doctor and was discharged from service because of his illness. He healed himself from a severe tonsillitis and joint rheumatism by fasting. Afterwards, he developed the Buchinger method, which achieves much more than mere weight reduction.
"When I ended fasting on the 19th day, I was thin, but – I could move all joints like a healthy recruit. This cure with the Freiburg fasting doctor Gustav Riedlin (1862-1949) truly saved my existence/life."
