After the 100th anniversary of the publication of ‘The Magic Mountain’ in 2024, another important Thomas Mann memorial day will take place in 2025: The famous author would have been 150 years old on 6 June 2025.
Did you know that Katia Mann was treated for what she thought was pulmonary tuberculosis at the Waldhotel Davos (then the Waldsanatorium) in 1912 and that her husband Thomas visited her here several times during her stay at the spa? Together they walked from the Waldsanatorium to the Schatzalp and the author wrote about his impressions in his well-known novel.
